Meet Dr. Viet Le

Dentist

I was born in a small village in Vietnam and immigrated to San Diego at the age of four. Growing up, my inquisitive nature led me to gravitate towards the realm of science. Combined with my personal journey with dental care, I understand the importance of dental health and found my perfect career. My personal experiences with dental care and diverse background allow me to promote dental health to all communities. I believe in providing quality and personalized dental care to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle. I received my bachelors degree from the University of California, San Diego. I then attended the University of California, Los Angeles and earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. After graduating from dental school, I pursued a general practice residency (GPR) at The University of Washington. Since living in SoCal all my life, I knew I had to move back home to Sunny San Diego, CA. In my free time, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym and hiking. Furthermore, I am a huge foodie and I love to explore all different cuisines.

Meet Dr. Chris Rhoades

Dentist

Dr. Christopher Rhoades, a San Diego native, attended the University of San Diego High School. He enrolled at the University of California, San Diego, earning a B.S. degree in General Biology with a minor in Psychology while being active in the Pre-Dental Society. In 1993, Dr. Rhoades traveled to The University of Michigan, School of Dentistry for four years of study. While earning his doctorate, Dr. Rhoades served as class president for one year and two years on the student council.

After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Rhoades continued his education at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco for a 1 year residency, earning a certificate in “Advanced Education in General Dentistry” in 1998.

After returning to San Diego and practicing dentistry as an associate for four years, Dr. Rhoades opened Oasis Dentistry in 2002. He continues his education through dental affiliations including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Diego County Dental Society and the world renowned Spear Dental Study Group.

When not at the office, Dr. Rhoades enjoys traveling, especially cruises, playing cards, camping, hiking, skiing, playing piano, and all things Star Wars with his husband, Josh ,and son, Sam.

Dr. Ho-Yin Leung

Dentist

Dr. Ho-Yin Leung grew up in Southern California where he attended Bishop Amat High School (La Puente, CA). Dr. Leung became a periodontist because he felt that was the best way he could help patients improve their smiles through treatment and prevention. He is a highly skilled and knowledgeable periodontist who believes in delivering the highest quality dental care to his patients. He is experienced in all phases of modern periodontal therapy and dental implant placement, using advanced techniques and materials. Dr. Leung pursued his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and Master of Science in Biological Sciences at University of California, San Diego between 2001 and 2007. He, then, completed his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2014 and his specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery in 2017 at UCLA School of Dentistry. He became a Board Certified Periodontist in 2018. Dr. Leung has taught at the university graduate level in both UCSD and UCLA as a graduate student and a resident for many years. He is currently a clinical adjunct faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry mentoring future dentists. Dr. Leung had also involved with numerous research effort and co-authored articles in peer-review journals while he was a research associates at UCSD, Caltech, and UCLA. Dr. Leung is married to Dr. Marie Dizon (Pediatric Dentist) and enjoys spending time with his children, Ayden and Adelynn.
